2016 Essay Competition

 

The Australian High Commission is proud to announce the launch of its annual essay competition for schools in the National Capital District, as part of the 2016 PNG-Australia Bung Wantaim – Yumi Poroman Week.

 

This year’s essay topic is: “How can individuals use small-scale agriculture to improve living standards for themselves and their community?”

 

Entries are invited from high school and secondary school students and must:

  • contain at least 600 to 1000 words;
  • be structured well and include an introduction, body and conclusion; and,
  • contain references and a bibliography.

 

Prizes include a palm top sponsored by the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research, dictionary sets, and certificates for outstanding and highly commendable entries.

 

Entries must be received no later than Wednesday 27 April 2016 preferably via email to [email protected] or to the following mailing address:

Winners will be announced during the PNG-Australia Bung Wantaim – Yumi Poroman Week which will run from 8-14 May 2016.
