The Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) at the Australian High Commission has a requirement for the provision of café and catering services of a suitably qualified and experienced Contractor ahead of the 31 October 2023 expiry of its existing contract.
The term of the proposed contract is an initial two-year contract period with two one-year options to extend, at DFAT’s sole discretion, subject to requirements and satisfactory provision of services by the Contractor.
The Contractor would be responsible for delivering two core services. First is operating the Chancery cafeteria and the second is ad-hoc catering services for events and functions at the AHC. DFAT will provide an industrial style cafeteria kitchen, which includes white goods, equipment, crockery and cutlery.
There is no monetary value in this arrangement as we are seeking services without cost. DFAT will not charge rent for the space, nor will it seek to recover the cost of utilities, maintenance or replacement of provided equipment. The Contractor will profit solely from sales made in the cafeteria and through ad-hoc catering.
Submissions will be evaluated using the following criteria:
- Extent to which the Potential Supplier’s response meets DFAT’s requirements;
- Extent to which the Potential Supplier demonstrates its capability and capacity to provide the requirement;
- Whole of life costs to be incurred by DFAT; and
- Extent of the Potential Supplier’s compliance with the draft contract.
