Australia Week Proceeds to Benefit PNG Children’s Foundation

Lamana Hotel and the Australian High Commission have presented all proceeds from the Australia Week Live Concert to the Papua New Guinea Children’s Foundation (PNGCF).

A total of K8 600 was raised on Thursday 11 April at the Lamana Gold Club through featured performances by cutting-edge, Melbourne-based band, Bending Rodriguez; timeless legendary PNG band Sanguma; and hip-hop sensation Animal Audio.

In presenting the donation to the PNG Children’s Foundation, High Commissioner HE Ms Deborah Stokes and Lamana Hotel General Manager Yiannis Nicolaou said that the donation would go a long way towards helping children in need by providing assistance through the work of the PNGCF.

Ms Stokes thanked platinum sponsor Lamana Hotel for their support of Australia Week, which showcased modern Australian culture and celebrated the close links and friendship between our two countries.
