Accounts Payable Clerk

The Australian High Commission (AHC) is seeking to recruit a suitable applicant with relevant experience for the above position at the High Commission:

Under the supervision of the Senior Accounts Clerk, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of a range of Accounts Payable services to AHC clients. Duties will include payment and settlement of all vendor accounts through approved AHC Finance procedures on a timely basis. The incumbent will also be required to maintain a high level of communication with staff and customers at all levels.

The applicant must possess highly developed client service skills and strong organisational skills.

Selection Criteria

• Demonstrated understanding of accounts processing and basic accounts payable principles.
• Demonstrated computer skills in MS Word, MS Excel and email system with SAP accounting software experience preferable.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively and accomplish tasks as a member of a small team.
• Good client service skills including an ability to communicate effectively to clients and staff at all levels.
