QUEENSLAND AGRIBUSINESS TRADE MISSION TO VISIT PNG
Agriculture-related businesses across Papua New Guinea are invited to participate in the upcoming Queensland Agribusiness Trade Mission from 13 – 18 October in Port Moresby and Lae. The mission will provide PNG businesses a unique opportunity to make strong connections with potential Australian trading partners.
The mission, a joint initiative of the Queensland Government and Austrade, aims to further strengthen the agricultural ties between Australia and Papua New Guinea.
“The visit is yet another example of Australia’s interest in working hand-in-hand with the Papua New Guinean agricultural sector, as well as an opportunity to bring together potential Australia-PNG business partnerships,” said Mr John Brand, Austrade’s Senior Trade Commissioner, based in Port Moresby.
The Queensland-based delegation of six agricultural organisations will be available to discuss a range of products and services, such as livestock nutrition, feed grain, food processing, seeds, equipment and world-class agricultural training.
Over the seven days, the Queensland Agribusiness Trade Mission will run business seminars in Port Moresby and Lae. In Lae, the Mission will also run a public trade show and field day at the National Agricultural Institute, and will exhibit at the Morobe Agricultural Show.
“We want to encourage all interested parties to contact Austrade to ensure they are included in these agricultural events,” added Mr. Brand.
