Simon Nichodemus, an Accounts Payable Clerk at the Australian High Commission, has graduated with a Diploma in Business Sudies thanks to the support of his employer.
Mr Nichodemus received his qualification during a graduation ceremony at the Crowne Plaza in Port Moresby last Friday.
He said: “I would like to take this opportunity to express my appreciation to the government of Australia through the High Commission for sponsoring me and making my study possible.”

“It is also a credit to my employer that they had faith in me. I am now very determined to work hard and improve my performance as an accounts payable clerk.”
Acting High Commissioner Ann Harrap said: “The Australian High Commission is committed to providing all of its employees with opportunities to enhance their professional skills and capabilities.
“This is just one more strand of the strong bilateral relationship between our countries.
“Training for our Papua New Guinean staff members may not seem like a big issue when compared to things like trade and defence agreements but it means a lot to the staff members concerned. That’s why it also means a lot to us.”
